- Extra passport-size photographs
- Visas for all countries to be visited
- Extra eyeglasses and/or contact lenses
- Additional supply of prescription drugs (clearly labeled)

- Physicians' letters about your current medical condition
- List of persons to be contacted in event of an emergency
- Directory of physicians abroad who understand English
